CHARTER has been under the same ownership and directorship since its inception in 1986. Executive directors and friends Steve Kiely and Simon Hunnisett established CHARTER to deliver a wholistic approach to debt collection services with the highest priority for governance and compliance. The desire to spearhead global trends and commitment to our clients' best interests has resulted in CHARTER being the most reputable and trusted leader in all debt recovery fields. In 2004 Steve and Simon established a 100% owned collection hub in Cochin, India, to improve efficiencies and cost effectiveness. The team in Cochin have undergone extensive training and are committed to providing the best quality services in the industry.

Relationships

CHARTER has established strong relationships due to our sensitive approach, innovative technology, high standard of results and focus on compliance. We have been servicing a leading International Charge Card company in Roll Rate management, Ex-Hardship Accounts and Tier 1 and Tier 2 collections for 30 years. We have a relationship with an Australian ‘Big Four’ Bank spanning over 24 years. Over the last 10 years CHARTER has been delivering Ex-Hardship services to a second of Australia’s 'Big Four' Banks and its subsidiary bank. CHARTER has it’s 100% owned collection office in Cochin, India that services Australia’s largest telco along with other major companies.

This is achieved predominately through a company culture of high ethics, supported by a working system of checks and balances. A Risk Management doctrine that is driven by certified best practices is a cornerstone of our management structure.

Social

CHARTER has a dedicated commitment and a long history of supporting the communities where our people live and work in addition to those under privileged in third world countries. CHARTER has continued to establish and support schools for children in under developed communities along with providing financial support to projects that assist with food and shelter to those in need.
